As ;usual , this is beautiful.

I especially like the phrase , where it sayssomething like,

‘time waits with time left for daydreams

I can feel the taste of a tangelo with juicesluicing down my mout and gullet.

I used to have a tangelo tree.

I love the use of gentle and true to describe the  kitchen experience

. There is nothing negative about this poem,

except it has been    perhaps a worrisome day.

This proves you can write  exceptional poetry in the positive.

Val sub for August 22

Summer Fruit

One sweet taste

brings cool escape

to a worry-soaked day.

The smooth, tart texture

reminds me of simple

summer days when

time waited and there

was enough left for daydreams.

Now, taste and memory

mingle in my

tiny kitchen,

softly creating new pleasure

gentle, true.

Hold fast to your dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird

that cannot fly.
