Joan sub for March

I don’t know what a spoon in the heart can mean.

It’s a painful concept.

Something hard and foreign in one’s heart soundspainful.

Yet, a spoon can carry nourishment.

????

A SPoon in the Heart

by Joan Myles

whose phantoms crowding dark and deep

Phantom  can refer to a presence without substance.

Whatever  it is, it doesn’t belong there.

The suspicion is that itis another’s presence.

Or,  the presents of something shadowy thatbelongs to another person.

Perhaps it is really  a phantom of the dreamer  which she cannot corporate  or integrate into her own world.

Something rejected ormisunderstood.

disguised  as visions in my sleep

You say they may bedisguised as visions  in your dreams.

If so, they are probablypart of your own .

Something you an’t ordon’t want to recognize..

Incite these warring wailing screams

Whatever they are,

They incite  warring, wailing screams.

So, I would suggest the question theysolicit  be heeded,

Because they may represent somethingthat needs to come out.

An opportunity to face your ownphantoms.

Something powerfl.

Something you want to know about.

Pursuing me through waking dreams
