Sweet Jazz In Late Summer

I linger over dinner--
Spaghetti and Meat Balls--
alone as evening eases in.

I don't know the person playing
smooth jazz on the sax somewhere outside my quiet world,
but my heart rests in the sultry sound
making my ordinary life routine magic.
