I'm sending alongthis piece hot  off the presses so to speak, looking forward to yourthoughts. A bit more structrued for my part. Q: Who is the Faithful One in yourmind

The Faithful One




 



 


Shoeless 



I assume shoeless refers to a person. 



But is the person the writer?



Someone else?



So I lack orientation .



In fact, I’m not even sure  it is a person.



It could be a metaphor of something else.



Does shoeless refer to poverty?



Simplicity?



Humility?



Innocence?



In touch with the Earth?



I’m hoping for clues to come below.




 


Light approaches



Is the light approaching the shoeless one, the poet? 



None of he above?




 


Peace



Peace and light are good things.



All I know is that it is approaching.




 


Elusive plays



I don’t know what this means.



Maybe it means something good is going on , but you can’tput your finger on what it is.




 


Blueness



I like blueness, so it might be something good.



Blueness also means sad.



Blue can be a clear sky, in keeping with lightapproaching.




 


Silent coaxes



Is this refering to ineffable coaxing for the shoelessone to claim her place in the  scene?




 


Please



Please is clear enough.



It is an entreaty to claim her place. 



At this point, I have concluded that all this is aboutthe shoeless one .



Nature, God, life is entreating the shoeless one to takeher place. 



What is her place?



I know it is a possitive place, whatever it is.



Does the shoeless one fail to claim her place out ofhumility, fear, lack of support. Lack of maturity?



Is she growing into her place?




 


Claim your place




 


Breezily



The daisies whisper



Iris glistens



Lilies dream



EasilY erect



She listens 



So all these signs, voices, messages have her attention.



She is listening.




 


Intently followsevery beam



She knows how to listen,to discern. And/ or she is learning to .



Humming



Winging



Buzzing



 Singing



Are these actions things that the shoeless one is doing?



Is that how she is gaining understanding?



Or, are these more ways in which she is being tutored ?



All of the above?




 


As nimbus gathers



Veils the sun



These last 3 lines indicates the light is leaving.



Darkness is coming.




 


I withdraw



I think you mean that the carnal, personality , material , practical self is withdrawing.




 



 


My spirit lingering



But the spirit part remains.




 


Ever near theFaithful One



‘I’m  guessing  now that the shoeless one is that part of thewriter which knows how to be  in theawareness of God, however she defines that term.  The part of her who always believes, orknows, the reality of a grater presence, reguardless of the vagaries of ourmundane existence. 



Sothe whole piece has to do with the author coming into a moment of higherawareness. A moment is undefined here. It can be during meditation, prayer, ora walk in the woods.



The  Faithful one is the part of her that is alwaysin touch with this greater  truth ,evenwhen she seems separate.
