Critiques for 8-23-18 Group 2 session

1. Val's piece:

Yes, and would that open dialogue between Arabs, Christians and Jews could
be as fruitful. A vivid depiction of the "holy man, child of God/madman." As
always, your poems are like paintings of life.

2. Abbie's piece:

Wow, what a world-class bitch your teacher was. Were you in Catholic school?
I agree, you should have thrown up on her. A bit of a different type of
Abbie piece. It is stark, real and disturbing which was hopefully your
intention.

3. Leonard's pieces:

I shall comment on poems 2 & 3 or "12 line" & "18" line:

The first of these is a polished beautifully cut gem picture of an autumn
day. It stands on its own as well as being part of a greater whole.

The next one carries the theme of the cycle of dying, death rebirth and
flourishing. An ancient and archetypal basic rhythm of the Earth and our
mutual interdependence. Would that more of our species might love and serve
her as she deserves as opposed to plundering and squandering her many gifts.

4. Alice's piece:

A beautiful and charming memory of childhood and the enduring nature of wild
violets gathered in a wood and flourishing in the lifescape of home. Very
vivid and evocative. However do I since a new book taking shape: that might
be called "Recollection Puzzle of a Heartland home?"
