This covers all the basis.

The good, the bad and the intwtween. Theyare all mixed up .

Yet the finish is about a better wayh ofliving.

It ends on a high note

A better wayh of living with nature.

Living a sustainable, peaceful life.

But talks about what you are doing to getthere.

It talks about the high and lows  of making the adjustment.

I like it.

Whatto do? What to write? Check my email. Check the headlines. Walk the dog. Walkin circles. Call a friend. Call a neighbor. Surf the web. Search the fridge.Wash my clothes. Scrub my hands. Use my phone. Touch my face. Can’t thinkstraight. Can’t quite focus.

Humorousemails distract me. Horrendous statistics distress me. I’m encouraged byrecoveries. I’m inspired by resilience. I worry about the future. I’m dismayedabout the past. I would like to vote for Andrew. I would like to vote forchange.

Iwas born after the holocaust, the Great Depression, two world wars, and a civilwar. I was born white, privileged, insulated, and naive. We’ll survive, or wewon’t. Dad is old. My granddaughter is but a babe. I hope the climate willrecover. I pray the wildlife will forgive us.

I amgrateful for shelter and food and family. I am worried for family and friendsand myself. I focus on one day at a time. I count my blessings. I pray forgrace. I hold on. I let go. I reconcile with friends. I forgive enemies. Ienjoy relief from traffic, enriched by bird songs.

Idream…a screened-in patio, I eat and sleep in the fresh air, I read and writeto my heart’s content. A guide dog is asleep at my feet, an old cat is curledup at my side. The song birds call. A “new normal” is established where wedrive less, consume less, walk more, and share more.
