And there's the rub as they say. The git log from the repository 
indicates new developments and new code since I believe September of 
2022. The most recent commit was on Tuesday. This code is in fact 
actively developed. This is why we need some sort of license agreement 
from those authorized to make such an agreement, indicating that it is 
in fact OK to continue to contribute to and distribute the code and 
binaries built from it.
