Feel certain this reached me privately by accident?

Subject: licenses

Sorry but license agreements just piss me off! They make it sound like you
as a user have to get permission for everything you want to do on your damn
computer! Want to play Jim Kitchen's free audio games? You better not
because some of his sounds were recorded from someone playing a mid 1990s
copyrighted playstation game and those sounds are now being used in his
game. And lets not even mention the music he used. All famous songs. Its 40
years old just let us use dectalk with our screen readers and audio games
and be done with it already! I can certainly understand ok if decTalk were
actively being developed, sold, supported in some way then yes okay, you
just go buy it and follow the licenses. If nobody gets in trouble for
putting up copycat McDonalds recipes online so you can make your own
McDonalds food at home then lets just get rid of all the licensing crap well
maybe not get rid of it entirely because even its license is historic in
some way but rather just use it for what we want. After all if the copyright
holders could have sued Jim Kitchen for his games lotss of times and they
did not why does everyone get all uptight about some 40 year old outdated
ancient by today's standards piece of software that used to be a big $4000
hardware box made by a guy who has been dead for 35 or so years? Get over it
already!! Licenses really piss me off!!
