Yes any domain name you own can point wherever you want it.

For example, let's say you have a great Web site www.foo.com/bar and 
you register bar.com.  You can then have www.bar.com point to 
www.foo.com/bar.

Go grab your new domain from GoDaddy since they're cheap.
