5-25-23 Critique Group-2 session
1. Leonard's piece:
An old fishing story but not about: "the one that got away!" Yet, an
interesting fishing mystery nonetheless! Psychosomatic guilt? Chemically
tainted fish? Or, perhaps just poetic justice as it were. It could have been
worse! At least, the dead fish didn't attempt to enter into conversation
with Leonard as have turtles, gnomes, gremlins and other assorted creatures
did in the past. A fun and whimsical piece!
2. Sandra's piece:
A desert flower from a family of desert flowers, very proficient at
survival, faced with new and unfamiliar changes wonders if there is even
more to life than survival, perhaps possibly thriving? With "Hearts more
open than before. Is it too late for . long-foregone release?" It sounds
like at least; such is now possible. This is a symbolic, "recitative" musing
about the poet's "ground of being" recently altered by significant loss. As
I am aware of what underlies this piece, I believe it elegantly and
accurately captures the essence of the poet's current point along the path
of her life journey.
3. Joan's piece:
A beautifully symbolic piece where "one blade of grass" like the poet can
thrive in the dawning as long as its sacred nature is held in the heart.
Even one blade of grass can be crucially important and strong as it
flourishes in its niche within creation. I really like this piece. In few
words, it nicely illustrates a highly significant spiritual truth.
