[Critique Group 2] Hi group2. I'm wondering

Hi,

I'm wondering  why three people have submitted their  pieces 2 weeks
early? I thought  we meet on the 27. Am I wrong? Are  pieces due
today?Just in case, I'm submitting my piece today as well.

Enigma Bird



Little brownish  bird, no bigger than a finch,

sitting on my feeder, with eyes closed shut.

Three feet away, I slide the glass door aside,

careful to make measured, unstartling moves.

I am worried  concerning her wellbeing.

Approaching her cautiously and slowly,

speaking quite softly as I advance,

until my eyes are one inch away.

Still, she remains with sleeping vision.

I delay, not knowing what’s required.

Is she diseased, or just taking a snooze?

Should a finger be offered for  perching?

Without warning, her eyes blink open,

and she flies away straight as an arrow,

without so much as a “Good day to you” --

leaving me  with unanswered queries.
