                Brad: "A Definitive Purpose'
"osmos"-interesting and delightful coinage! 
The "membrane" of rainbow-sounds like hope that may or may not be
permeable-an idea pointing to the contrast between those who aimed for hope
and never penetrated it, who experienced it as a perilous undertaking, and
those who succeeded in getting through the rainbow membrane; the poem
alludes to the idea of possibility, in at least attempting to break through
and find hope. Our very reason for being could be to penetrate that
membrane, which depends on good timing and preparation to align successful
passage. The open window-the slightly-possible-that seems to vanish is,
nonetheless, a treasure. A worthy piece to encourage perseverance, with much
to say about openings-small and large-- in life.
 
 
Joan: ""Girl":
The surface interpretation: Getting lost in a delightful day-the carefree
expansiveness of youth? 
I like the alliteration of "wind " and "wings", with the light-as-air
softness of the W sound.
Collaboration between both wind and wings necessary for flight to occur-it's
impossible to separate them.
 
 
Leonard: "Insantiy, I'm On My Way':
Good essay capturing the insanity that is today's customer service-multiple
problems are never fully addressed; confusion in communications; being
handed off from one rep to another, or told that the problem does not lie
with the company you're dealing with: enough to drive one crazy-the rest of
the way!
 
 
Valerie: "I Wonder About You":
Able capturing of the tragic fate of Anne Frank and her family, with the
prayer that, even as some deny it, we will not lose sight of the Holocaust.
Our best hope is to learn from her own hope and love, which requires that we
"never forget". Powerful piece that should find a publication home!
