Hi  group2,

Just a reminder that your pieces are due for August. Mine is below

Depersonalization

This middle-aged woman stood before me,

answering questions about her spouse,

asked by the medical receptionist,

before  passage toexamination.

Then she turned to sit with her waiting husband.

The  clerk gazed atme, but said not a  word,

as I remained to stand and linger.

“You can have a seat now, Mr. Minster.”

I  looked to see if Minsterwas behind me,

then turned to  say,“I’m not Mr. Minster.”

“ But… but you have to be ,” she stammered.

“I wasn’t when  Iawoke this morning.”

“Oh, dear, I thought you were  Mr. Minster.”

“Don’t think twice. It’s all right. Happens all the time.”

Standing quietly behind that woman,

carrying my white cane, obviously blind ,

you surmised I was  inneed of aid.

So, you deferred to my presumed helper.”

“I’m so sorry.  Ididn’t mean to offend .”

Blushing, she asked, “How can I  make amends? “

“You can help me check in for my exam.”
