The crow here is a symbol of God.  



His eye is omnipresent 



or everywhere. 



It is all knowing. 



He sees everything from the  vantage point of brightness, 



or light. 



Perhaps this poem   is to tell us that we are under God’s knowing eye at all times.  



His intelligence is unlimited. 



The crow is a\often seen as the emissary of thegods. 



He brings messages from  a mysterious mega place and ferrys them backfrom the lower realms.
