1. Alice's piece:

Sort of like an autograph or "selfy, the referenced paw print is a concrete
symbol and verification of a once beloved pet. It is a keepsake which humans
seem to need. The loss of a pet or working dog can be more upsetting than
non-animal people can ever understand. A sensitive and thoughtful piece.

2. Joan's piece:

Well, back to a somewhat puzzling poem. What I get out of this one is the
conflict between a person's desire to soar vs. their purpose and
responsibilities here on Earth. It is perhaps the case that we "Elemental"
beings all experience this pull in two directions. Sorry, best I can do!

3. Valerie's piece:

A piece that hopefully is about what it's author is currently experiencing.
Coming through a dark time into "bright sounds, sweet song, crystal waters
and the gentle rhythm (not rhythem)of her own heart. Val if you are writing
about your own remission, may it last and grow for a very long time!

4. Leonard's piece:

A beautiful tribute to the wonder and sweetness of lilacs. From their
arrival to their all too quick fading away. Just one question? The title has
the date September 17/21 yet the poem begins in the spring. Not sure I get
this point. A poignantly and skillfully executed poem.
