A powerful  piece

that  decries ourculture

that rewards mediocrity, rather than quality work.

The title  says it isthe human way.

That  would seem  to answer the question, “

is it to late.”

If that is the human way,

it is too late.

But asking the question also states a hope that it is not.

The jury is out.

But, this can also be seen as a rant.

Because of the disappointment of competence  being rewarded,

there is disillusionment.

The social strata fails to respond to recognize  people of value.

and salesmanship prevails.

The stratification gets worse.

Trickle down economy is a ruse.

The Human Way

One after another:

Slights, disappointments and failures of recognitionaccumulate.

Constructing strata, highlighting

a clear sense of the stacked deck.

The skilled and capable work.

The less competent rule

and in turn their Cronies  flourish,

proving the Peter Principle.

Corruption the default setting

of those that rise to high levels in the

social and financial sectors.

Ordinary people awaiting trickle down, that somehow nevermaterializes.

In fact, they are still waiting!

Shallow pop culture sadly lacks substance.

The promotion and marketing of youth and beauty

which lasts but a moment, negates the value of many.

Sowing seeds of Disillusionment and alienation.

It should be no surprise that Frequently

madness is an inevitable byproduct.

Resulting in mass killings and

the rise and admiration of tyrants.

We honor the warrior and worship the gun.

The dollar is our deity.

Lies are the coin of the realm.

Is it too late,
