1. Joan's Piece:

Exploration from a different prospective. Tiny, leaping about different
scenes within the microcosm which itself is a scene within the macrocosm.
Sounds like fun and a unique way to collect knowledge and experience. But
she can only do so this way: "When I'm Little."

2. Valerie's Piece:

A vivid and powerful description of the emotional roller coaster of your
life. I have been in both places and your description of the well of
depression is right on target. And of course, being alone makes it even
worse. The strength of your faith, like a thick knotted rope enabling you to
climb back toward recovery is a light in the darkness. A stark and extremely
honest piece. It hit me right in the gut and as a therapist and a friend it
made me wish I could help.

3. Leonard's piece: 

Come to think of it, ribs are involved in almost all if not all body
movements or operations. Your description of the fall is painfully on
target. What about such antics causing one to become overly careful due to
both fear and the inconvenient interference they can add to one's life. Then
there is this part of the internal dialogue: "it hurts like hell but I was
lucky this time. What about next time? What if I am not so fortunate? It
could have been a hip." And finally such accidents can also get us thinking
about the joys of getting older and more fragile How wonderful, something
else to look forward to.
