**Alice-Merry Christmas from the Mary Club
A charming story of love and friendship. The sense of close-knit community
is certainly welcome these days, and the Mary Club invites my memories of
Catholic school where every other female student was named Mary something.
The interweaving of the returning soldier into the small town setting is
simply delightful. Thank you, Alice!
**Leonard- Barney
While I always love hearing about your beloved canine friend, I believe dog
stories most reveal their owners’ thoughts and values-- and your doggy tale
is true to form. The ways you deal with Barney’s antics and heroics, the
telling of your wife’s brave intervention with the snake, your care at
describing Barney choices of toy distribution--we used to call this Ari’s
home decor--all demonstrate your power of observation, your marital
partnership. Thanks so much!
**Val- Culpability
...Prayer bursts the confines of words...love this
...Drinks in...maybe the use of vessel
Images of water lead up to baptism, redemption through the medium of water
*Why “Culpability”? Who is to blame? Thanks for reflecting, Val!
**Brad-In Days of Youth
Fitting ballad theme, the sense of knights and fair ladies, the battle for
Truth, the assurance Good will triumph over evil. And the question you
pose: Is optimism only for the young? I’m glad you agree with me that it is
meant for all of us to inhabit, that is is not merely our castle here on
earth, but the armour we must wear to get there. Thanks, Brad!
