Hi Alice,
Thank you so much for writing to me and Leonard.  I've forwarded your
email to him, because he is possibly able to get his emails now, with
some difficulty operating the computers.  He is doing well and working
hard to get better. We are hoping to get appointments to start
outpatient speech therapy and Occupational therapy this coming week.  He
is so motivated, we both think he can get a lot better.  In the
meantime, your prayers and good thoughts are very much appreciated by
us, Chloe, and Barney.

Our best regards,
Diane

Dear Diane,

I just read on the Writers' Partyline e-mail list, the e-mail from
Deanna Quietwater Noriega.  As I believe you know, she shared a little
information about Leonard's hospitalization and current health issues.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with both of you.  I
understand that you told Deanna that you will read e-mails to Leonard;
thus, I will include a message for Leonard below.  Thank you for reading
the message to him.

Hello, Leonard--Willow and I are sending your way our very, very best
wishes for your speedy and full recovery. Each day, I will be thinking
of you and sending prayers and good thoughts your way.  Actually, before
reading Deanna's e-mail about you this evening, I was thinking of you
earlier today when a doctor on public radio was talking about eating
walnuts and dark chocolate. I recalled your mentioning this addition to
your diet at our most recent Group 2 meeting.

I surpassed my goal of mailing out and handing out one hundred
copies of my posters by December 21:  I mailed 105 and hand delivered
nine, for a grand total of 114.  In the new year, I will distribute the
remaining 36, some of which are already promised.  Willow is becoming a
famous poster dog.

As always, my very best to you and Diane!

Take good care--Alice and Willow
