The words are carefully chosen in terms of their sound compatibilities.
There are no sound awkardnesses.
Inlibrary galleries,
wordportraits--
framedin leather,
hardback,or paper--
areon geometric metal and wooden shelves,
noton graceful easels.
Wordportraits
arelacquered onto pages,
boundtogether tightly:
witha multiple fan feature,
Creative description of how a book is heldtogether.
movementglides from left to write,
then,a turn from right to left.
I Love the way these 2 lines have raised the actof reading to a dance.
Ah-ha!The Literary Butterfly
This is an invention.
I see the butterfly wings as the movement of hands.
On another level, the reader is samplingeach book or flower in turn,
not settling long in one place.
Forever sampling.
floatsunder a right-hand page
andlifts the page to the left.
You might consider, “And lifts the pageWestward.”
Within a confined space, West is always tothe left.
The sounds work a little better that wayand
you get around the problem of 2 ‘these so close together.
Twonew word portraits appear.
Inthis fictional or nonfictional fashion,
I think fiction and non fiction here refers to genre.
Icontinue through the word portraits
I think word portraits refer towhole books here, but you might meanpages, chapters or other lesser units.
ofeach chaptered room of this gallery.
Although poetic license can accept a multiple meaning of chapter heewithout hurting the quality of the poem,
it is inprecise in lieu of potential units that chapter can refer to.
Withbutterfly grace,
readingpowerfully uplifts
I like the connection of butterfly withuplifting.
themost artful,
imaginative,enriching
flightof the mind.
I love the line, “flight of the mind.” .
You’ve blended the concepts of butterfly, flight, mind, and grace masterfully.
