[Critique Group 2] Leonard's omments on Brad's Sept. piece

I love the rhythm, meaning, and even the rhymes. Themessage is clear. I love the poem, which is a true poem. Having said that, Iwill proceed to question, and descimate in an anti Quan Yin manner.

Over all creation in dynamic motion,

Does this mean she  is the creator? If so, in whole or part?
presides Guanyin of the Southern Ocean. 

Great rhyme, but does it mean she is limited  in place? If so, she can’t preside over allcreation.. This question is not really in earnest because  in my own cosmic perception these are notcontradictions. Nevertheless, I think they are good questions.

The one true Goddess of compassion.

Does this mean other goddesses  of compassion are fakes? Is there a one truegod of compassion?


the pain of others is her ration.

Ration, as in rationing, means controlled flow of supply. I know that is not what you mean, sothe point is mute. Just asking.

Oh, how I long to be your Sudhana

My wife is going to look up Sudhana for me. I would assume it means something like an assistant,pupil, apprentice. It’s a good thing I have a wife who doesn’t mind looking upthings.. I do understand that you have a poetic license, so it’s okay.


to heal the world with sacred Manna. 

Through your myriad eyes and hands,
no evils would before us stand. 

Is myriad eyes and hands metaphoric, or does the goddessactually have that attribute? If she had a statue, what would she look like?

But alas, our paths are widely scattered

Meaning we are not all seeking truth, beauty, healing,wholeness, and that means we will not find those things  and are doomed to heartbreak. Right?


yet hope continues though hearts be shattered.

I was told to seek you on Fragrant Mountain
to bathe in the mist of your soothing fountain. 

So this search has been my work of being
all performed without true seeing. 

I love this line because it is the highest truth to me.What we seek here we cannot see or know till it finds us. But at some  conscious level we persue the holy grail. IfI find it, I expect to be totally surprised as to what it is.. Though I suspectit might be my dogs wet nose in my face on a dreary day.

Thus all my time to quest and seek
to find you on Fragrant Mountain Peak.

Upon that day all suffering will end 
as your compassion, every heart shall mend. 

This leads me to thoughts of the relationship betweenPassion and compassion. But I shouldn’t get into that right now.

Then every soul will have release
and the universe may at last know peace. 
We’ll see.
