An apt description of a confusing, unpleasant, drabwinter day .  

Only the brave flowers reminds her of hope and spring. 

It is often like that. 

In depression we search for hope and signs of hope. 

As long as we do, we are well.

                                                        WINTER’S FINALE

 

 

Bundled into tired winter coats

and pulling on pilled woolenmittens, 

a friend and I reluctantly

face fickle March’s icy wind

as we leave the supermarket ‘s warmth.

Only the scent of brave hyacinths

from an in-store flower stall

reminds me of hope and spring.
