Sally,
Needs a title of course. How about Warming the Soul?
Lovely as always and another snapshot in time that unites past and present.
Leonard
Swamp Gnome
Nice twist at the end.
Marcia,
Veronica
Good backstory for why Veronica is in Doe Lake. She has learned to lookout
for herself as a defense mechanism, since no one else did when she was a
child.
Cleora
For Better or Worse
I think this piece makes a good case for freedom of choice, however I am
uncertain whether it gives any answers as to whether anyone has the right to
make choices for another if their belief systems are different. It is within
his right to choose not to bake a cake, but what if he were a doctor
refusing to care for a patient or a policeman choosing to allow a person to
be harmed by another person because he felt that they didn't deserve his
protection. If a business person wants to make a living, he shouldn't allow
his personal value system to dictate which individuals he wants to have as
customers.
