Hi everyone

This is a reinder that pieces are duje today. Also my poem is below.

Line count:  31 lines

Two geese??

While strolling with my dognamed Barney,

I happened to encountertwo lone geese

waddling toward a  five-acrelake,

where their flock had returnedfrom wintering,

to lay their eggs andraise their families.

This lake, surrounded byhouses,

is encircled by  a two-lanestreet.

The ducks rarelygo beyond this road.

Sauntering back from anundeveloped section,

beyond their two laneconfinement,

peculiar from their usualbehavior,

and doing so in a nonchalantform,

they had abandoned travel by flight,

maintaining theiradvancing on webbed feet,

as though beyond the cares oftheir world,

despite the fact that mydog was endowed

with power to kill, if given achance.

And his house-mate was not farbehind.

Their way of ambling put me inmind of

a twosome returning  from a tryst,

hand-in-hand, or featherywing-on-wing.

So I will most politely askyou,

what were they doing alone outthere?

Was that gooney look in theireyes

an unspoken confession ofpassion,

or were they smoking marijuana

that perhaps made them seem sospaced out ?

I prefer to think of them aslovers.
