Hello, group members.

"Monastery, an Acrostic," the poem I have pasted into the
body of this E-mail, is a 105-word document which represents
my third revision. I would have let it sit on the back
burner longer while considering the excellent advice I was
given this past Sunday night, but I really wanted to
implement suggestions in enough time to submit it by
tomorrow's deadline for further critique at next Wednesday's
group. I am so committed to polishing and refining this
poem to the best of my ability because I want to submit it
for publication to Spirit Fire Review, a publication to
which Lynda Lambert has contributed and which she
recommended for the poem pasted below:

  MONASTERY, AN ACROSTIC
  by Terri Winaught
Moonbeams share their soft, silver light with the dark, sacred
night.
Only the nearby trees with wind stealing their leaves are
enjoying this lunar light show.
Nighttime plants Roses of Sharon in hearts that are barren.
Azure skies that look like butterflies house galaxies,
firmaments and eternity!
Soon, day will dawn and awaken priests's passion and purpose.
Transformed by God's grace and refreshed by forgiveness,
sinners become newborn beginners.
Enlivened by Christ's Passion, priests are his lights in the
world.
Reconciliation and heartfelt oblation are salves that
regenerate lost souls.
Years spent helping others have created meadows of peace!
