Hi,
Abbie has a good idea for those of you who have more than one book. It
would save you time in your presentation today as well.
We've had two cancellations which you'll note in the list, so adjust
your time expectation accordingly.
We can and will use the *5 method of muting everyone if needed. I hope
we don't need it because I will constantly have to unmute everyone, then
remute, in order to bring each presenter in, and to open the floor for
questions. Cross your fingers for no background noise.
We expect the conference to take approximately two hours. Here is the
order of participation at this point. We've tried to vary the genre as
much as possible.
Alice Massa, Peter Altschul, Joan Myles, Ann Harrison Barns, Carrie
Hooper, Deborah Kendrick, Anne Chiappetta, Abbie Johnson Taylor, and
Marilyn Brandt Smith.
Please mute yourself by pressing *6 when you're not presenting or asking
or responding to a question. Use *6 again to unmute when appropriate.
The slightest cough or tap makes more noise than you ever think it can,
and since this will be a public program, we want it to be as clear as
possible.
Also, if you come in after the recording has started, please do not
identify yourself. We will ask who has joined at the next available
break. We hope to have good attendance, so please try to stay for the
whole presentation.
By participating in this conference, you give permission for your voice
to appear in the conference recording, with the understanding that we
plan to post the recording on our website, accessible to the public and
downloadable by the public. Portions may be used, therefore, for reasons
and in places which we cannot at this time foresee.
We consider this a positive public relations tool, and would encourage
you to be thinking of social media and individuals with whom you'd like
to share the information about the book fair. We'll be back with some
promotional ideas once the conference is ready to post on the website.
See you at 4:00 Eastern,
Marilyn
