What you should have is a wire on the left back side of the keyboard that can be
unplugged from the keyboard.  The other end of it connects to the Apple GS.  On
the right side of the back is another plug where the mouse can be plugged into
the keyboard but the mouse isn't actually necessary for most applications.  This
isn't a USB plug, its a little round plug a little like the PS2 plug that Apple
uses.
