And working on tts is even more of a niche thing and quite specialized. It is way more involved than just making a social media app for example.

Hi,

I am glad you are enjoying the SAPI5 DECtalk builds that I put together. I developed a new SAPI5 interface for DECtalk last year, and that is what I use for most of my SAPI5 builds.

Building the SAPI5 DECtalk’s isn’t as straightforward as you might think. You have to build the DECtalk library, build the dictionary compiler, build the dictionary itself, and finally build the installer.

If you want to make modifications to DECtalk, you have to have some understanding of the C programming language, and how the code itself is structured. DECtalk is quite an involved system with many components that interact with each other, and changing a single line of code can result in radically different behavior.

I don’t say any of this to be discouraging, I am just pointing out that working on DECtalk (or any programming project for that matter) requires specific expertise, and a decent amount of time and motivation.

I hope you understand my point, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Jake

Hi everyone! While I was In the hospital, you guys somehow got the source codes and were crating sapies. I'm so glad!

I know nothing about source codes. But what I badly want to d9 is post the codes on my site, http://www.theflameofhope.co, with instructions so others can create there own Dectalk sapi versions.

Also, I want to post all sapi versions on my site, and I want to give credit to who did what sapi. And don't anyone e-mail me about copy right crap. No one owns Dectalk any more, no company uses it, and if anyone is sue happy, sue me.

Please e-mail me codes and sapi info, dectalk at aol.com <mailto:dectalk at aol.com> . I need to know what speak widow the codes are for. Is it one single source code? Any source code instructions will be posted as is because I know nothing about codes,

Is there a different speak window? I want a Larger bold font and word wrap.

Hi everyone! After being in the hospital for ten months, I'm finally
getting out today! My plan is to put all of the Dectalk sapi5's and all of
the source codes on my website for easy access. And, I sing using Dectalk
for a living and I want to go on American Idol.
