I looked up Allan Ginzberg.
Apparently, he was a poet in the 50’s.
The lion in this case
is the lion part of himself
which caused him to write erotic songs of injustices.
He didn’t intend harm,
and had to fight to stay acceptable in the eyes of the public.
However, he was seen by most as harmless.
It makes me want to read the Howl.
I’m sure I have not captured the feeling of this poet, author

and his relevance.
The poem is done with the impact of a well done haiku.

Joan sub for June 23

The Lion in Ginsberg’s Living Room
by Joan Myles

he meant no trouble
spouted no propaganda

just pranced in, and Ginsberg went
Crazy running out the door

the neighbors yawning looked away
He’s at it again they sighed

One more erotic song(s)
crying over war victims
