Basically, I don’t have a clew to this one.
It has something to do with a paper crain.
It seems you have been making them since childhood.
The urge to make one today is very strong.
You can’t resist the insistent calling.
His knocking on your doorfor attention to fold him.
In a strange way, in a magical way,
he pokes his imaginary head around the refrigerator.
You finally give in and start folding.
You feel the air refresh as if you opened a door.
You have given into your childhood compulsion to make a papercrain.
Hooray.
If this is any where near to your intension I’ll be verysurprised.
Joan sub for March 23
aper Cranes Don’t Fold Themselves
by Joan Myles
you’ve heard plenty of her squawks and fluffles
enough to wake you from good sound dreaming
but this morning right there in your kitchen
she’s checking the eggs for counterfeits
and if you make the grade she’ll move in
as for the colorful stuff
Boy he’s been hanging around for a long time
right outside your door since childhood
he wonders where you are
why you won’t take his calls anymore
desperate he bangs all the louder
do something he yells through the keyhole
the crane cocks her head around the fridge dorr
nods and strikes a pose
the door flies open with a rush of fresh air
and you commence to fold
