After  a difficulttime, she struggles  to get her bearings.

The event is basically finished, but she  cannot figure  out what to do.

The very act of no direction un balances her.

She is like a bicycle rider trying to stay balance with nomotion.

The very noise of the incident  fogs her mind

, though the threat seems to be past.

Is it really past until she has moved on.

Finally, through  amind befuddled with exhaustion,

she determines on a direction to take.

She is prepared  forthe next  challenge  which will require  courage.

Val sub for July 29

Unanchored

Drifting in stark, tepid

waters of aftermath.

Unanchored, unsettled by distant clamor filtering my psyche.

Where is middle ground when

motion and momentum don't flow--

uneven glimpses cloud stability,

understanding.

Through exaustion's fog,

I manage to gather rezilliance like a life jacket

prepared for this new quest of courage.
