[Critique Group 2] Reminder and Leonard's submission

Hi group 2,
Reminder that  our submissions arfe due tommorw. Also, bnelow,  is my own.

Summer Rain Dance                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        




 


The summer shower stealthily slips



into languorous Central Virginia, 



turning me around          toget my raincoat



and walk in a delightful drizzle …



to be greeted only moments later, 



a torrent of pouring water 



and a swooshing, rushing squalling wind



high above tree-tops in the sky,



while the trees’ leaves remain strangely still.




 


The summer storm slackens, then quickens.



It titillates with variations,



thick for a moment. Thin for a minute. 



Rolling thunder in the northwestern sky,



always too far in the distance to strike,



sometimes sorties closer, to startle.




 


Darkness and light dance together. 



Sol playing games of hide and go seek.



At last, the deluge ceases completely. 



But rain keeps cascading from leaves of trees 



in rivulets and drops. Until it stops.



The world sighs in sweet satisfaction.
