So sweet to know you will be with us, Brad!
Here's my piece.

Origins
c Joan Myles

I was born in a pool of waiting
so plainly
the plan shaped me

Before their labels and test tubes

Before their throbbing smiles and foggy hands

Claimed me

I jumped up and ran

No matter my paralysis

The air opened itself

Free as my breath declared me
