Group 2 Critique Session 6-28-18 

1. Val's piece:

A beautiful almost painfully tender and poignant tribute message to someone
gone and yet forever beloved. Is "mandid" supposed to be "mantis?" The line
about sitting on the river bank and playing a prayer or lullaby recalls
Dylan's "just sit and watch the river flow. As always, the poet says much in
relatively few words.

2. Abbie's piece:

An extremely well written piece. As a male I can't help but view this story
as pretty much geared toward a female audience. One question, Alex Smith is
in fact a very talented quarter back currently, I believe on the Kansas City
Chiefs. Is it just a coincidence that his name was used as a football player
in this story?

3. Alice's Piece:

 A most interesting piece which I had to read several times in order to
fully get it, if I have. It tells a generational family story with camels as
the common thread. My very limited experiences with camels have been less
positive. Their vocalizations are quite strange and when they are not
content they spit rather copiously. Perhaps they are like humans in that
some are much nicer than others.

4. Leonard's piece: 

A slightly unusual piece. Question: why the hyphen between fashion and able?
I love the last line as it brings a general contemplation of plastic to a
subjective observational experience of the poet ultimately leading to a
personal philosophical question.
