1. Val's piece:
In three four line stanzas, you capture the beauty and pain of the poet/muse
relationship. There is an economy of words that nevertheless paint a very
vivid picture that is not at all difficult to see. I wonder some times, is
the poet actually his or her own muse?

2. Leonard's piece:
This appeared on a recent critique session call and at the time I mentioned
how clever and arch the writing is. Leonard: the seeker, the open minded,
ever the counselor having a conversation in a swamp with a likeable wise-ass
turtle. I have read the second chapter and am looking forward to the 3rd.
Did I miss it? The tung in cheek humor is beautifully executed. ---Well I
guess I did miss it the first time. But wouldn't you know, here it is again.
It continues in the same voice with the same tung in cheek tone. I think I
saw the 4th chapter several emails back on this "low traffic" list of
numerous emails. I will get to it!---OK, just read chapter-4 . The good,
light hearted, tung in cheek story continues, still with the same voice.
Just one question, did Leonard suggest to Merlin that he should put on his
swimsuit at the end? Do turtles wear swimsuits?

3. Abbie's piece:
A concise 5 line Christmas anticipating poem. I was unable to access the
youtube link as given.

4. Alice's piece:
Another tung in cheek piece. This is great. If you do wallpaper the bathroom
walls with your work, you can be assured of a captive audience. And of
course a hard working Canine-American promoting herself for display as would
my cat Jack. I believe that we as true artists must have times when we don't
take ourselves too seriously.
