[Critique Group 2] special thanks to the four of you/"Meet Me"

Dear Group 2 writer friends,


     Special thanks to the four of you!  If I had not received such 
positive feedback and encouragement about my "Fifty Years Later, Meet 
Me" poem, it would have only rested in my saved files for posterity.  
Thanks to all of you, I decided to post the poem on my blog and on the 
WPL--after revising the poem with most of your suggestions and one of my 
own changes.  Then, still unbeknownst to me, someone--probably from 
Indiana--brought the poem to the attention of the daily newspaper in 
Clinton, Indiana. On Friday, the poem was printed with my introductory 
note on the back page of THE DAILY CLINTONIAN.  During the festival, 
this particular issue has a much larger readership and circulation. 
Although, since I was young, I have had some articles printed in this 
newspaper, having a poem published in my home area newspaper means so 
much to me and might have helped with sales of my book during the 
festival at the three locations and at the public library.  On both 
Friday and Saturday, I was floating on Cloud Nine (forgive the 
cliche!)!  A friend in Indiana sent photos of the display of my book at 
the library.  I was very grateful and tremendously pleased with the 
wonderful display that the librarians had set up.  This weekend has been 
the highlight of my writing career, and I wanted to share it with 
you--with a big THANKS!
