 The Scourge 

 

Ninety-eight degrees is high enough for me. 

Normally my temperature is lower. 

My nostrils had a sticky soreness, 

and voice was a creaky unsteady bass. 

>From there, my disorder sincerely worsened. 

 

My nose refused to be typically dry --

good for pooches, but not nice for humans.

Moisture increased to a constant downpour. 

Handkerchiefs could barely soak up the mire --

progressing to rapid fire sneezes. 

 

With so much muddle,

no wonder I’m tired.

Not to mention the ever-present brain fog.

I think maybe I’ve got the Covid.
