Hi group 1. Just a reminder that your  pieces are due tomorrow. Mine is below.

Where Did the Four Inches Go?



I was never, ever stature-aware.

My upward ascent settled at 5-foot-9.

Maybe add a measly centimeter,

which is considered neither short nor tall.

Being quite unconcerned with comparisons

with  other persons’ relative loftiness --

no consciousness of staring up or down.

Nevertheless, I’m bereft of 4 inches.

Age has swept away my prominence.

I’m forced to look up to my 6-foot son.

Where, oh where, have these 4 inches gone?

Perhaps I’m saving them for my next incarnation.
