Hi group1,
Just a  friendly, your  pieces are due tomorrow. Mine is below.

____________

Lazy Bay

It was a lazy Day on  BiscayneBay

to take my modest boat for a sail --

my craft, sails and gear tied tightly

to  the top of  a Volkswagen bus.

We left early after Sunrise

for mild waters on this quiet day.

I carried the vessel overhead,

barefoot on a seaweed strewn shore,

and set the mast and boom in place --

Pulled my craft into crystal clear water.

Finally, dropped dagger board and rudder,

And sailed away on a northerly tac.

The soft offshore breeze was steady.

Bay seas were brisk but relaxing.

As Sun rises and temperature climbs,

wind fails to fill the vessel’s sails.

Sporadic blows occasionally flow

from Sol’s peekaboo game with playful clouds,

and my sailboat takes off a-running,

settling down, after the ride , to stillness.

In these times of absolute quiet,

one’s soul and mind are stilled as well.

Nothing stirs  butgentle ripples.

Within these interludes, all is peace.

The flow of seaweed measures time.

>From bow to stern, it moves slowly.

Sails are slack yet time moves forward.

Time has all the time it ever needs,

and I have untold time to reach my home.
