Hello,

During last night's group 1 meeting, Cleora submitted a book review for
critique upon which we all commented.  There were a few small ways to make
it a better piece, and, as we were running out of time, I offered to help
Cleora by email or phone.  When I hung up after our meeting last night, it
occurred to me that I had agreed to help judge the book review contest and,
therefore, I could not ethically offer help to any individual.  If Cleora
does submit this particular review, I will not rate it or vote for it.  In
the need for full disclosure, I am also including BOE President Alice Massa
and Mary-Jo Lord in this message.  I apologize for any inconvenience.
