I wrote this for the BoE Christmas celebration which I wasn't able to join since I'm on a land line.
So, I thought I would present it for my submission this munth.

Dusty's Christmas Wish

twas the night before Christmas
when all through the yard,
not a cat stirred,
not even a dog barked,
as Dusty perched by the chimney 
to watch for Santa.
He chirped and whistled 
he whistled and sang.
but no Santa came.
He dropped down the chimney,
and flew to his cage.
A bad little bird I've been, he mourned.
I should have known I'd not get my wish.
then he looked in his dish,
and to his delight,
there lay 3 El Paso Nutriberries.
Our wish for all 
is that your Christmas be merry.
