Hi group 1,

Below is my piece for September.

Also, this is a reminder that  they are due tomorrow.

See  you then.

Leonard

Extended Business

The time has come fore my nightly  sleep.

I sit in daily contemplation,

considering many different things,

of tasks I tried to do this day,

the flick that entertained my evening.

What some people had said to me.

And I thought also of my parents,

with whom I still had issues,

though they died a long time ago,

and I have not seen for decades.

However, they are still with me.

I still have a relationship .

We often float in dreams together.

Always there is unfinished business

with which I must continue to work.

It is a task that has no conclusion.

Yet, progress cannot be denied;

never too late to grow, I find.

Age often complies with wisdom,

the capacity to see with new eyes

through ever-changing perspective.

My attitudes toward them keep evolving,

as is the way I perceive them.

The relationship remains alive.

More and more I  thinkof them as people,

as Harry and Rose who live down the road.

You might encounter them at the bakery.

They are charmingly colloquial,

and happen to be my parents.

When I see them in that light, I wish  both well.

I forgive them for the mistakes made,

and while I’m at it, I forgive myself.
