[Sally Rosenthal]

                                                HERE

 

 

Eleven months have come and gone

Since I became a widow.

One moment rearranged my world

In ways I'd yet to fathom.

 

I thought perhaps he would be near,

A partner on my journey.

In a silent home, I strained to catch

his voice or find proof his spirit lingered.

No intuition or wondering prayer

Brought forth a true connection

Until isolation slowed my pace,

And I had time to listen.

 

I felt his presence like 

A cloak of caring and protection

That warmed my body and frozen soul

And offered hope of resurrection.
