Sally, what version of windows are you using? Do you use JAWS? If so, what
version? With the later versions of both, there is an easier way to select
large blocks of text.

Sally,
Perhaps create a "cheat sheet" for yourself. Start a Word doc with
instructions on how to do some of the basic functions like copy and paste. I
use "control C" for "copy" and "control V" for paste. You can select line by
line holding the shift key while you arrow down. Hope this helps.

Subject: [Critique Group 1] Uncertain how to do this
Leonard and others, I am a good writer but no computer wizard. I am not sure
what to do with my critiques of others' works. I have sent individual
critiques in an email to each author. I think I was also supposed to
combine all of the critiques into one piece for the website. Part of the
residual problems of a stroke, in my case, is not retaining much about
computer work unless I do it so often that it becomes automatic. I am not
even certain I can cut and paste email contents into a document. I used to
feel incredibly stupid about things like this until I was in a
neurophysiology lecture while training as an occupational therapist when it
hit me that I was not stupid after all. That part of my brain was simply not
functional. So, I am trying to come up with a way I can provide what the
group needs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I also want to
thank all of you for the feedback on my introduction that reads, I realize,
in the manner of War and Peace. I have cut it drastically and am keeping
some of the information to " show not tell" in the journal entries. Thanks
again.
Sally
