233 words. I thought I would share a poem

When Everything Else Goes Wrong

By DeAnna Quietwater Noriega

When my computer shuts down,

Before I can save my work;

Because there is a thunderstorm brewing.

When my note taker crashes,

And destroys my calendar,

And it's late so there is no tech support.

You make me laugh anyway,

By sharing your squeaky toy.

Reminding me to lighten up and to play.

When my doctor can only,

Fit me in at a bad time,

When I have to be three other places.

When I can't find the braille list

I need to get through my day,

And I can't remember what was on it.

You put your head in my lap,

You tell me you will love me,

No matter how many mistakes I make.

When I miss my writing class

Cause the conference call number

Is stored on that non-working note taker.

When I try to multi-task,

And the pasta is soggy,

You know just how to help me refocus.

You are eager and ready,

To slip in to your harness,

To take me out for a walk and fresh air.

Yes it is true that you shed,

Leave your toys everywhere,

You won't eat when I need you to hurry.

When it's pouring rain outside,

You're wet fur smells like a dog;

But what else should you smell like I wonder? ??

You're a genuine dog,

But not just any old dog,

My play mate and comforter My Guide dog.
