I haven’t personally tried any DECtalk stuff on Windows 11, but I guess you could try the old one then, DECtalk 4.99 SAPI5.exe <https://datajake.braillescreen.net/tts/DECtalk%204.99/DECtalk%204.99%20SAPI5.exe> , to see if it works. If not, I don’t think any other SAPI5 interface for DECtalk exists for Windows 11.

If you use NVDA, there’s an NVDA add-on for DECtalk 4.99 <https://datajake.braillescreen.net/tts/DECtalk%204.99/DECtalk%204.99.nvda-addon> .

Which version of Windows are you using, and which version of DECtalk from Jake’s site did you try to use?

If you’re looking for DECtalk 4.99, Jake has two different SAPI5 versions available, DECtalk 4.99 SAPI5.exe <https://datajake.braillescreen.net/tts/DECtalk%204.99/DECtalk%204.99%20SAPI5.exe>  and DECtalk 4.99 SAPI5 New.exe <https://datajake.braillescreen.net/tts/DECtalk%204.99/DECtalk%204.99%20SAPI5%20New.exe> . The first one is multilingual, but is a quite old implementation from the early 2000s from what I understand, however the newer one is a SAPI5 interface that Jake wrote himself, so I suggest you try that one, if you haven’t already.
