Hi,

I have a solution for Windows that might work, given you have the installers for the programs you want to install in the emulation.

You’ll need a program for Windows called ImDisc, which can do several things with disk images, including mounting them to your computer. You can download it somewhere on this site:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/imdisk-toolkit/

To install it, unzip the downloaded zip file, and run install.bat.

When the program is installed, right click on the ”dos.img” file from the MAME archive, and select ”Mount as ImDisk Virtual Disk”. Here you’ll need to select a drive letter to mount the image to, and then select to mount it as a hard drive, not at CD or floppy drive.

When the image is mounted, you can access it as a normal external hard drive, and then copy the installers for the DOS programs to the image.

When you need to unmount the image, go into the start menu and find and run ”ImDisk Virtual Disk Driver”. Here you will find a list of mounted disk images. Find the right one, and tab to the remove button. When you press remove, the files will be saved in the img file, and you schould now be able to access them, when running the emulation.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards:

Aksel
