[DECtalk] reading edge with dectalk 1992

The reading edge did not come with a hand scanner.  Perhaps you are 
confusing it with another product?
Instead the reading edge is a self contained book edge scanner  weighing 
less than  15 pounds.
does our Dectalk Expresses battery still work?
