[DECtalk] Speak window versions

Yes, sound is definitely the main reason 4.3 and 4.4 versions are prefered
by many Dectalk users.
I think another reason is that some phoneme changes were made with 4.6
versions. For example, if I remember correctly the lx phoneme of 4.3/4.4 was
changed to ll in 4.61.

Hi,

I would say the majority of active list participants, myself included,
prefer the sound of the 4.3 or 4.4 versions over the later versions.
That's the main reason. Also, 4.3 has the Export to Wave feature enabled.

doesn't work on 4.6.4. I know Snoopi Botten uses 4.4, and I found a thread
on this list where someone mentioned that they use 4.3, so I assume others
use these versions as well. Are there any important reasons for this I
should know about?
