[DECtalk] SAPI questions

Yep, but how does one pipe the text into the synth? Most screen
readers hav punctuation rules which override DECTalk's default
behavior. If you use DECTalk Access32 with JAWS for instance and type
[:phone on], it will just say colon phone on.
Then there are spacing issues I've experienced. I've tried to make
access32 play nice with JFW to sing stuff, but it hates spaces! Even
modifying the .jcf file to speak all punctuation and turning the
actual words to symbals did very little.

Would we just use ttsapp.exe or some other direct piping method and
feed DT that way?
